Switching to Radeon ProRender for Maya

To work with AMD Radeon ProRender, you must set it as the active render engine in Maya:

  1. Launch Maya.

You should be able to see a menu for Radeon ProRender, as well as a custom shelf with icons for the key functions and settings. You should also be able to set the 3D viewport to the rendered view using Radeon ProRender.

  2. Open the Render Settings window.

  3. In the Render Using list, select Radeon ProRender.

Note

If you do not see Radeon ProRender in the list of render engines in Maya, go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager, and make sure that Loaded and Auto Load check boxes are selected for RadeonProRender.mll. For details, see Maya Plug-in Manager.
